Goldeye provides a unique and breathtaking backdrop for your wedding.
We will work with you to determine which areas you would like to use for your wedding. Ceremonies can be held outdoors or indoors. Our outdoor amphitheatre provides seating and a stage area for the vows to take place; however, any spot outdoors can be used. We recommend that you come and view our grounds before making a decision.
We also have indoor spaces that can be used for your ceremony. Both our Pavilion and Jack Muza dining halls can be arranged to accommodate a ceremony, as can our Seminar Room. Though we do have a small number of table cloths and linens, the majority of decor must be provided and set up by the bridal party. We are open to any type of decor, as long as it is removable and non-damaging to the walls.
If you would like to hold your reception at Goldeye, but would prefer to hold your ceremony in a chapel, there are a few options just down the road in the town of Nordegg. Please contact us for more details.
We have two separate dining halls that can accommodate receptions. The Jack Muza Dining Hall seats approximately 75 people, and the Pavilion Dining Hall seats about 150. Pavilion has a bi-level design that makes it easy to create separate dining and dancing areas. Both of our dining halls have pianos and a sound system.
Our staff will prepare your choice of meal. Dinner will be served buffet-style. At your request, we can also include a cash bar in either dining hall. You may supply your own wine for dining tables; however, it is important to note that all wine must be approved by the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Association.
At maximum capacity, we can accommodate approximately 200 guests. We encourage the bride and groom to look over our guest house floor plans, and block off the houses they would like their guests to stay in. Guests must then call individually to book their stay. A valid credit card number is required in order to book, and all guests must confirm their accommodations and meals at least four weeks prior to their stay. We ask the Bride and Groom to assign their guests to their rooms and forward this information to reservations (you will be given an accommodation chart to help with this).
We are happy to work with the photographer, florist, marriage commissioner, and other vendors of your choice. However, if you would like to consider local vendors, we would be happy to offer some suggestions.
If you’d like to give your guests a truly memorable experience, why not book some activities in the days leading up to the wedding, or during downtime on the big day? If you’re looking for an action-packed wedding weekend, challenge your guests to participate in Koda’s Challenge course. If you’re looking for something low-key to pass time between wedding activities, encourage your guests to check out the hiking trails or go canoeing.
